Summer Camp Assistant Director

Lead a self-directed camp operation under a Director, supervising campers and staff, and coordinating day-to-day activities and safety. Responsibilities include facilitating activities (e.g., sewing, stop-motion animation, maker space, performing arts, arts and crafts, recreation), training and inspiring a team, opening/closing the site as needed, maintaining organized activity spaces, ensuring camper safety and wellness, communicating with parents, and managing daily updates to camper profiles. The role emphasizes relationship-building with families and staff, ongoing supervision of groups of 4–12 year olds, and opportunities to gain experience advancing toward a Director track. Requirements include a minimum age of 18 with a High School Diploma or GED (Bachelor's Degree preferred), 2 months of camp or 1 year in education/child care experience, and the ability to meet immunization/health and safety training obligations. The position is located in Paoli, PA, and hours run 8:00 am–6:00 pm during camp dates with some setup/breakdown weekends; compensation is hourly in the $18.25–$20.75 range.
