Job Summary
Lead and supervise camp operations as an Assistant Director at Steve & Kate's Camp in Pleasanton, overseeing day-to-day site management, training and inspiring a team, and coordinating camper activities across sewing, stop-motion animation, maker space, performing arts, arts and crafts. Build relationships with hundreds of parents and children, ensure safety and compliance with camp policies, and manage activities and spaces to support self-directed play. Requires strong communication, ability to multitask, calm under pressure, and physical capability to assist with activities (lift up to 40 pounds); on-site role during 6/1/2026–7/17/2026 with hours 8:00 am–6:00 pm. Eligibility includes 18+ years old and HS Diploma or GED; Bachelor's degree preferred; 2 months camp experience or 1 year in education/child care is required.
Required Qualifications
- At least 18 years of age
- High School Diploma or GED required
- 2 months of experience working in a Camp, or 1 year in an Education or Child Care setting is required
- Bachelor's Degree preferred
