Job Summary
Lead and assist in running a self-directed summer camp. Responsibilities include actively supervising campers, facilitating and rotating activities (sewing, stop-motion animation, maker space, performing arts, arts and crafts, recreation), training and inspiring a team, and overseeing day-to-day operations for a safe, engaging site. Build relationships with parents and children, communicate effectively about safety and wellness, and collaborate with the site Director. Must be able to manage camps during openings/closings, and be prepared for physical tasks and high-energy interactions with 4–12 year olds. The role is a gateway into director-level opportunities within Steve & Kate's Camp, with opportunities to develop leadership skills and shoulder diverse responsibilities across activities and spaces.
Required Qualifications
- At least 18 years of age
- High School Diploma or GED required
- 2 months of experience working in a Camp, or 1 year in an Education or Child Care setting is required
- Bachelor's Degree preferred
