Job Summary
Organize off-site excursions and on-campus activity programs by preparing weekly schedules, confirming bookings, and supervising a team of activity counselors. Monitor staff adherence to itineraries during activities, solve emergencies, and liaise between leaders and chaperones. Manage residential and administrative duties including meal coordination, student supervision, and facility maintenance. Evaluate staff performance, lead training sessions, and maintain operational records while ensuring high standards of student safety and satisfaction. Work flexible hours totaling 60 weeks, with one day off coordinated based on the excursion calendar. Assist the Center Director with staffing needs and non-excursion tasks as required.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's Degree minimum
- Familiarity with camp location
- Previous experience as Summer Camp managing excursion and activity counselor
- Legal authorization to work in the United States
- Strong leadership qualities, including the ability to inspire others
- Effective people management skills
- High level of responsibility and authority
- Strong organizational and administrative skills
- Independence, strong problem-solving skills, and proactive behavior
- Strong customer service ethic
- Ability to remain calm under pressure and maintain a positive, constructive demeanor in clients' presence even when problems and emergencies arise
- Flexibility in terms of work assignments
- High level of flexibility and availability throughout the camp to respond to the dynamic demands of our program
- Weekly commitment: 60 hours
- One day off per week is offered, it will be coordinated with the center director based on the excursions/activities calendar, ensuring availability on busier days
