Job Summary
Counselors needed for summer camp and after-school care to join a year-round team. Responsibilities include driving for offsite activities such as swimming and field trips, supervising and engaging children from Kindergarten through 7th grade, assisting with snacks/meals, outdoor time, and activities, and collaborating with fellow counselors to provide excellent care. Must be able to drive (over 21 with 5+ years of experience and a good driving record). Strong childcare skills and knowledge of childhood development are required, with a focus on maintaining a positive, engaging environment for a large group of children. CPR/First Aid certification is a bonus and training will be provided if needed.
Required Qualifications
- Driving requirements: over 21 years old and 5+ years of driving
- Experience working with children in a camp or childcare setting
- Strong childcare skills and knowledge of childhood development
- Ability to manage a large group of children and handle behaviors in a kind and positive manner
- Ability to work with other counselors to provide excellent care
- CPR/First Aid certification (bonus)
