Job Summary
Counselor for summer camp and after-school care, with driving responsibilities for offsite activities such as swimming and field trips. Works with children from Kindergarten through 7th grade, supports snacks/meals/outdoor time and activities, and engages children in positive, meaningful interactions. Must have experience with children in camp/childcare settings, strong childcare skills, ability to manage large groups, and collaborate with other counselors. CPR/First Aid certification is preferred; MAT bonus for those not certified. Flexible scheduling during summer and school year.
Required Qualifications
- Driving requirements: over 21, driving for 5 or more years, good driving record
- Experience working with children in a camp or childcare setting
- Strong childcare skills and knowledge of childhood development
- Ability to manage a large group of children and handle behaviors in a kind and positive manner
- Ability to work with other counselors to provide excellent care
- CPR/First Aid certification (MAT is a bonus)
