Job Summary
Temporary Summer Learning Program teacher for K-6 in Forest Grove School District. Plan and deliver engaging, standards-aligned literacy-focused instruction; use student discourse and evidence-based instructional practices to accelerate literacy and academic growth. Collaborate with fellow teachers and instructional assistants; participate in daily professional learning and instructional reflection within a learning lab model. Schedule runs 7:30 am - 2:30 pm with student instruction 8:00 am - 1:00 pm and professional learning 1:15 pm - 2:30 pm. Requires valid Oregon Teaching License; bilingual English/Spanish skills preferred. Responsibilities include implementing literacy-focused instructional practices and interventions, maintaining attendance/records, communicating with program staff, and supporting a positive classroom culture. Temporary assignment for the summer 2026 program with equal opportunity employment stated by the district.
Required Qualifications
- Valid Oregon Teaching License
- Demonstrated commitment to student learning and collaboration
- Experience providing literacy instruction and/or intervention
- Ability to work collaboratively within a team setting
