Job Summary
Research and prepare legal memos for rulemaking proceedings, support litigation case development and active litigation, interview members to prepare standing declarations, draft and review pleadings and briefs, prepare comments for administrative agencies and legislative bodies, and craft proposed legislation on environmental and public health issues. Collaborate with attorneys across NRDC offices in San Francisco, Santa Monica, New York, Chicago, and Washington, D.C., on core issue areas including Human Health, Equity & Justice, Climate & Energy, and Nature. This full-time summer 2027 cohort includes 2L law students working 35 hours weekly with a $10,000 stipend, requiring three days in-office attendance.
Required Qualifications
- full-time law students in their 2L year
- Part-time or dual-degree law students who have completed at least one year of coursework
- Part-time or dual-degree law students who will not graduate before summer 2027
- Strong legal writing skills
