Job Summary
Lead a solution-seeking project addressing real departmental problems while performing general background work to understand process fundamentals. Drive a continuous improvement culture by identifying waste, ensuring quality performance meeting USDA/FDA guidelines, and fostering team cohesiveness through active participation in meetings and policy implementation. Communicate concerns and improvement ideas to support Simmons' operating systems and business objectives. Present final project work to senior leaders by summer's end. Requires working on feet for multiple hours, lifting 10 pounds, and wearing PPE as required by the facility.
Required Qualifications
- Must be able to work on feet for multiple hours
- Must be able to work in various temperatures
- Must be able to lift a minimum of 10 pounds
- Knowledge of business and management principles
- Willingness to lead, take charge, and offer opinions and direction
- Ability to use computers and computer programs
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office suite
- Minimum Education: In process of completing a degree program for a Bachelor's, Master's, and/or Doctorate Degree in related field of position requirement
Desired Qualifications
- Preferred experience in manufacturing or poultry
