Job Summary
Lead solution-seeking projects that address real departmental problems and present findings to senior leaders by summer's end. Execute general background work to understand process fundamentals while fostering a continuous improvement culture that drives out waste and meets USDA/FDA guidelines. Participate in team meetings, coordinate work to ensure best practices, and actively resolve cohesiveness issues to achieve organizational synergy. Maintain familiarity with Simmons operating systems, including quality and security protocols, and communicate improvement ideas to support business objectives.
Required Qualifications
- Must be able to work on feet for multiple hours
- Must be able to work in various temperatures
- Must be able to lift a minimum of 10 pounds
- Knowledge of business and management principles
- Willingness to lead, take charge, and offer opinions and direction
- Ability to use computers and computer programs
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office suite
- Minimum Education: In process of completing a degree program for a Bachelor's, Master's, and/or Doctorate Degree in related field of position requirement

- Preferred experience in manufacturing or poultry
