Job Summary
Develop an understanding of the general consulting process in local government while assisting in performing consulting engagements of all sizes. Track and report project progress, conduct research, maintain project document repositories, and review deliverables for quality assurance. Follow diagnostic, data collection, fact-finding, and data analysis practices to provide ad hoc assessments and briefings in response to client requests. Keep supervisors informed of assigned project status and participate in staff meetings and training as a team player on multiple client projects. This Summer 2027 internship runs from May 25 to August 6, 2027, with a base rate of $30/hour. Candidates must be currently enrolled in a relevant degree program and authorized to work in the United States.
Required Qualifications
- Currently enrolled as a student in a BA/BS/MS Degree in Political Science, Communications, Recreation Management, Library Sciences, Computer Science or similar degree.
- Must be legally authorized to work in the United States without the need for employer sponsorship, now or at any time in the future.
- Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines.
- Strong Microsoft Office skills.
- Demonstrated experience in relationship building, including excellent writing and communication skills.
- Willingness and ability to travel.
Desired Qualifications
- Relevant work experience in government or public administration field is a plus.
