Job Summary
The Mountain Ticket Office (MTO) Sales Associate provides exceptional guest service and completes transactions for summer activities. Responsibilities include handling guest selections and transactions, balancing daily cash receipts, assisting with daily ticket-office operations (filing, answering phones, etc.), handling lost & found inquiries, communicating by radio for daily activities and emergencies, assisting guests with locker use, and maintaining organized sales stations. Non-essential duties may include special projects. Required skills include strong customer service and verbal communication, basic sales/cash handling experience, computer proficiency (Windows), basic accounting procedures, arithmetic proficiency, and the ability to present information clearly to individuals and groups, make sound decisions under stress, and pass a background check. Availability to work June through August is expected. The role is primarily in an indoor ticket-office setting with occasional exposure to outdoor conditions, and Bogus Basin is an equal opportunity employer.
Required Qualifications
- Strong customer service and verbal communication skills
- Basic sales and/ or cash handling experience
- Knowledge of and experience with computers (Windows)
- Knowledge of and experience with general accounting procedures
- Ability to add, subtract, multiply in all units of currency
- Ability to effectively present information in one-on-one and small groups situations to guests, clients, and other employees of the organization
- Ability to make sound decisions under stressful situations
- Ability to pass a background check
- Ability to work June through August
