Sugar Warehouseperson

Job Summary
Responsible for assisting with loading and packaging sugar in the warehouse, performing duties such as filling super sacks, operating the remelt system, and cleaning and sealing rail cars and semi-trucks. Requires safe operation of warehouse equipment and thorough documentation including bills of lading and sanitation schedules. Essential skills include basic mechanical aptitude, basic computer skills, and understanding of Good Manufacturing Practices. Must successfully complete job-related assessments and comply with safe operating procedures.
Required Qualifications
- Basic mechanical aptitude
- Ability to perform basic maintenance including checking bearings, equipment adjustments, and greasing
- Basic computer skills including inputting and verifying data
- Ability to understand and follow written and verbal communication
- Knowledge of safe operating procedures and personal protective equipment
- Knowledge of Good Manufacturing Practices, Safe Quality Foods, Food Safety Modernization Act and sanitation standards
Additional Requirements
- Must be able to pass the sugar warehouse test
- Must pass computer and hands on Rail Safe assessments
- Must pass warehouse fall protection program
