Job Summary
Utility Locate Technician to identify and mark underground utilities for pre-design and construction, operating equipment such as Radio Detection (RD) and Ground Penetrating Radar (GPR), and Trimble surveying gear. Office duties include CAD production, deliverables review, computations, and QA/QC; field responsibilities involve periodic travel for private utility locating and collaborating with field crews. Requires strong listening, writing, and verbal communication skills; familiarity with GIS concepts is a plus. Must have a valid driver’s license and a clean driving history. Hybrid travel with some local work; 40-75 hours per week; includes travel and potential local site visits.
Required Qualifications
- Valid Driver's License with clean driving history
- Experience in utility locating or related field
- Knowledge of utility networks and geophysical locating equipment
- Proficiency with AutoCAD Civil 3D for production activities (preferred)
- Microsoft Office proficiency
