SUE Technician III (Utility Locator)

Job Summary
As a SUE Technician III, you will manage a Utility Location and Subsurface Utility Engineering field crew, ensuring the quality and accuracy of work while adhering to regulatory requirements and safety protocols. Responsibilities include training crew members on various SUE equipment, collaborating with construction crews for safe utility installation, and maintaining detailed records of utility locations and field data. A minimum of 5 to 10 years of experience in the field, along with proficiency in using locating equipment and strong knowledge of underground utility systems, is required.
Required Qualifications
- Minimum 5 to 10 years of progressive experience as a utility locator or SUE Technician.
- Proficiency with SUE locating equipment; proficiency with total stations and GPS.
- Strong knowledge of underground utility systems and radar.
- Ability to interpret maps and records.
- Ability to lift 50 pounds, carry, and operate equipment as needed on the project.
- Excellent attention to detail and ability to work in fast-paced environments.
Desired Qualifications
- Current Commercial Driver’s License is a plus.
