Job Summary
Locate underground utilities such as water, gas, power, fiber optic, and telephone on utility services projects using industry-specific equipment. Visit project sites to verify existing utilities and collect condition information for assessment. Identify utility sizes, materials, and types while assisting with the operation and maintenance of vacuum excavation trucks. Work as part of a two to four man crew to help implement new technologies and methods. Provide support for land survey in the creation of topographic maps. This role involves full-time employment with up to 50% travel, valid driver's license required, and training provided by the Utility Services Department.
Required Qualifications
- Associates degree preferred
- Knowledge of Microsoft office software; Excel, Word, Outlook, and Teams
- Ability to type
- 1-3 years of utility designation experience
- Must possess or be able to obtain a valid driver's license prior to employment
- Ability to travel (up to 50% of the time)
- Minimum education requirement of High School Diploma or GED
Desired Qualifications
- Familiar of IOS operating system, a plus
- Familiar with AutoCAD and Microstation, a plus
- Familiarity with iPad or tablet, a plus
