Job Summary
Operate vacuum excavation equipment and record field data for utility system work. Interpret utility locations using hand-held technology and maintain required certifications. Perform on-the-job training to master necessary skills for this entry-level field position. Requires a valid driver's license and DOT Medical card for commercial motor vehicle operation. Basic computer skills in Excel and Word are a plus. Pre-employment drug screening and background checks are conditions of employment.
Required Qualifications
- 0-2 years of experience in field work involving utility systems
- The willingness and ability to learn how to operate vacuum excavation equipment and record field gathered data
- The aptitude to learn various hand-held technology for the interpretation of utility locations
- Basic computer skills a plus (Excel, WORD etc.)
- Ability to obtain a Department of Transportation (DOT) Medical card for Commercial Motor Vehicle operation
- Valid Driver's License
- Ability to maintain required certifications
- Pre-employment drug screening and background check
