SUE Technician I (Utility Locator)

Job Summary
As a SUE Technician I, you will operate SUE field equipment such as ground penetrating radar and electromagnetic designating equipment while adhering to safety protocols. Responsibilities include assisting with maintenance of vehicles and equipment, walking various terrains, and potentially working unsupervised. Candidates should have a High School diploma or GED, be physically capable of lifting equipment, and be willing to travel daily. Experience is appreciated, and training will be provided.
Required Qualifications
- High School/GED or equivalent preferred
- Ability to walk outdoors for long periods of time
- Able to lift 50 pounds
- Available to travel daily
- Work 50 hours during busy periods
- Work unsupervised when required
- Background & motor vehicle checks
- Pre-employment drug screening
Desired Qualifications
- Specialized training from a vo-tech school
- Rod person/Instrument person experience
- Current Commercial Driver’s License
- Self-motivated with an entrepreneurial spirit
- Excellent problem-solving skills
- Motivated to learn and develop career path
