Job Summary
SUE Technician to designate utilities and perform records research for ESP Associates, a multi-discipline engineering design and consulting firm. Requires 1-3 years of field utility designating experience; working knowledge of Ground Penetrating Radar, electromagnetic locating equipment, and vacuum excavation is a plus. Responsibilities include field operations, preparing/organizing field sketches and digital photographs, completing daily checklists and timesheets, and vehicle navigation. Some travel out of town is required. Candidate must pass a drug screen and background check and maintain a satisfactory driving record per the company’s MVR policy. Required Qualifications
- Previous experience designating utilities and performing records research required
- 1-3 years field experience in utility designating
- Working knowledge of Ground Penetrating Radar (GPR)
- Electromagnetic pipe & cable locating equipment
- vacuum excavation a plus
- Experience with DOT, municipal, and/or public utility projects a plus
- Preparation/organization of field sketches & digital photographs
- Completion of daily checklists & timesheets
- Vehicle navigation
- Surveying and/or drafting experience a plus (not required)
