Job Summary
Lead a SUE field crew to perform utility surveys and locate underground utilities using GPR, induction, and direct connection methods. Prepare complete utility sketches for office use, document locating procedures, and maintain field notes while ensuring safety and quality control. Travel up to ~50% of the time, work a 40–50 hour week, operate vacuum excavation equipment as needed, and comply with applicable safety procedures. Must have 5 years of SUE experience, proficiency in field designation methods, and the ability to communicate effectively with peers and clients; NULCA certification encouraged.
Required Qualifications
- High School Diploma or GED
- Valid Driver’s License and satisfactory driving record
- pass a pre-employment drug test
- pre-employment background check
- 5 years SUE experience minimum
- Strong understanding of ASCE 38-22
- Ability to travel week to week or occasionally for longer durations, approximately 50% of the time
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs. with assistance and work in varying terrain
