Job Summary
The Substance Use Disorder Trainee will work under clinical supervision to learn all duties of a Substance Use Disorder Professional, including providing screening, evaluation, and counseling (individual and group) to adults, youth, and families; serve as co-case manager for up to ten youth; develop and implement treatment plans based on ASAM criteria; coordinate with staff and external programs; complete required federal/state/local forms; maintain accurate documentation and participate in meetings and trainings; adherence to Sea Mar's mission, values, and confidentiality requirements; must obtain and maintain required certifications and licensure within stated timelines.
Required Qualifications
- Must have completed all required classes to become a Substance Use Disorder Professional and completed practicum hours required by the State Department of Health
- Must have current Substance Use Disorder Trainee Registration with the State Department of Health
- Must have current CPR certification
- Must have and maintain an active First Aid certification
- Must take a TB test annually and at time of hire
- Must hold and maintain an active Washington State Agency Affiliated Counselor License within 90 days of hire
