SUD Student Intern

SUD Student Intern at BestCare provides supervised clinical exposure in an outpatient behavioral health setting, engaging in shadowing with the entire outpatient team and, after approval, practicing therapy and case management under ongoing supervision. The internship includes weekly supervision (1-hour individual), training and site-specific orientation, development of goals with a Clinical Supervisor, and exposure to services such as case management, psychiatric management, therapy, medication-assisted recovery, and related program offerings. The role supports learning about documentation in EHR, treatment planning, and professional competencies while ensuring adherence to ethical standards and state/federal regulations. The Clinical Supervisor coordinates required documentation and ensures progression toward internship goals with periodic reviews every three months.
