Job Summary
On-call SUD Counselor I in a 180-bed women’s residential program; provides individual and group counseling, crisis intervention, treatment planning, case management, and supports intake, medication documentation, and safety; must have HS diploma or equivalent; CA SUD counselor registration; CPR/First Aid; available to work weekends/holidays; hourly pay $25.11-$31.12.
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent required
- Bachelor’s degree in Health and Human Services, Social Work, Psychology, or related field preferred
- Registration as a Substance Use Disorder Counselor from an accredited California agency (CCAPP, CAADE, CADTP)
- Valid First Aid and CPR certification or ability to obtain within 30 days of hire
- Experience as a registered substance abuse or behavioral disorder counselor or recovery specialist in community mental health or residential setting preferred
