Job Summary
SUD Counselor I provides individual and group counseling and family counseling within the Treatment Team for patients in the Substance Use Disorder Program, using ASAM-based assessments to determine appropriate LOC, develop measurable treatment plans, and coordinate with community resources. Responsibilities include conducting intakes and assessments, delivering crisis intervention as needed, facilitating psycho-educational and relapse-prevention groups, maintaining documentation in the EHR, supporting discharge and aftercare planning, and collaborating with recovery mentors, referral sources, and diverse populations in a patient-centered, harm-reduction framework. Must work 100% in-person in Prineville, Oregon, with adherence to HIPAA, regulatory standards, and organizational policies.
Required Qualifications
- High School Diploma (or equivalent)
- CADC-I required for SUD Counselor I (CS4)
- Must maintain a valid Oregon Driver License or ability to obtain one upon hire
- insurable under auto liability coverage policy (minimum 21 years of age)
- Bilingual in English/Spanish a plus
- Experience or training in substance use disorders and recovery models (harm reduction and medication-supported recovery) preferred
- Knowledge of ASAM criteria to assess LOC
- Proficiency with MS Office 365 and EHR platforms
