Success Mentor (Part Time)

Oversee a caseload of chronically absent youth by greeting mentees daily at school, tracking attendance, and making morning calls to absent students. Meet with mentees regularly for one-on-one tutoring, small group instruction, and classroom push-ins while supporting behavior management, hall duties, and event planning. Lead activities, organize recess events, and conduct home visits to address barriers such as family struggles or health issues. File notes on attendance patterns and interventions to ensure strategic data monitoring. Attend weekly student success meetings to share best practices and present progress summaries. Work directly with PS 51 staff and community partners to identify and implement targeted interventions for educational outcomes.
