Job Summary
Greet guests, prepare sandwiches according to formula, and process orders using the Point of Sale system. Collect payments, manage cash procedures, and maintain strict food safety and sanitation standards throughout the shift. Restock the sandwich unit, clean all restaurant areas, and complete assigned paperwork and University of Subway courses. Requires bending, standing, and walking the entire workday with the ability to lift up to 30 pounds. Paid training provided with no prior experience required.
Required Qualifications
- Must be able to work in any area of the restaurant when needed
- Must be able to operate a computerized Point of Sale system/cash register
- Must have the ability to lift 10 pounds frequently and up to 30 pounds occasionally
- Must maintain a professional appearance and grooming standards as outlined in the Subway Operations Manual
- Must understand and adhere to proper food handling, safety and sanitation standards during food preparation, service and clean up
- Must understand and adhere to the 3-step method for cleaning
- Must understand and adhere to all quality standards, formulas and procedures as outlined in the Subway Operations Restaurant Manual
- Must complete the University of Subway Food Service Worker-Sandwich Artist courses as directed
