Job Summary
Greet guests, prepare sandwiches according to formula, and operate the Point of Sale system to record orders and process payments. Maintain food safety and sanitation standards while restocking the sandwich unit and cleaning all restaurant areas. Adhere to quality standards outlined in the Operations Manual and complete assigned paperwork and University courses. Requires bending, standing, and walking the entire shift with the ability to lift up to 30 pounds occasionally. Some high school education and the ability to understand written and verbal instruction are needed. SUBWAY is the world's largest submarine sandwich chain serving fresh, made-to-order meals.
Required Qualifications
- Some high school or equivalent
- Proven ability to understand written and verbal instruction
- Ability to work any area of the restaurant when needed
- Ability to operate a computerized Point of Sale system/cash register
- Ability to lift 15 pounds frequently
- Ability to lift up to 30 pounds occasionally
- Ability to bend
- Ability to stand
- Ability to walk the entire workday
- Ability to maintain a professional appearance and grooming standards as outlined in the SUBWAY® Operations Manual
- Ability to understand and adhere to proper food handling, safety and sanitation standards
- Ability to understand and adhere to all quality standards, formulas and procedures as outlined in the SUBWAY® Operations Manual
