Job Summary
Join WSP's Southeast Region Geospatial / Surveying Team as a Subsurface Utility Engineering (SUE) Analyst. Responsibilities include leading SUE field crews, mentoring junior staff, and ensuring quality data collection and project deliverables. The role requires proficiency in utility locating, vacuum excavation, and survey equipment. Candidates must have a strong analytical mindset, good communication skills, and the ability to oversee project tasks effectively.
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED
- 5+ years of progressive experience in the SUE industry
- Ability to work independently, and as part of a diverse team
- Analytical, detail oriented, goal driven, problem solver, self-lead
- Possess excellent communication skills
- Display proficiency with both EM and GPR locating equipment
- Display proficiency in reading utility as-built/schematic records
- Display working knowledge of survey equipment (conventional and GPS)
- Ability to operate vacuum excavation equipment
- Ability to traverse terrain, as project dictates, in all seasons
- Ability to lift up to 100 lbs or work as a team to do so
- Must have a valid driver’s license with acceptable MVR
- Be able to pass criminal background check and drug screening
- Able to work occasional overtime as project timeline dictates
- Occasional travel may be required depending on project-specific requirements
