Job Summary
Substrate Assembly Technician I on 2nd shift responsible for producing foil substrates using automated and manual machinery. Duties include setup and forming of catalyst substrates on fabrication machines, operating and troubleshooting substrate fabrication equipment, preparing raw materials for welders, interpreting Work Orders/Production Data Sheets, leading the Substrate Assembly Department in the supervisor's absence, measuring products to QC specifications, recording quality data, operating oxidation furnaces, understanding product and customer specs, using PPE properly, and performing material handling, inventory counts, and participation in R&D and equipment upgrades. Requires metal fabrication experience and CNC equipment familiarity, plus PLC experience welcomed; physically capable of lifting 60 lbs and potentially forklift certified.
Required Qualifications
- High School Diploma or GED
- 1+ years experience in a metal fabrication environment with metal working experience
- Working knowledge of running industrial equipment
- Experience with CNC machinery
- Mechanical aptitude and troubleshooting skills
- Candidates with PLC programming experience will receive greater consideration for the position
- Ability to lift 60 lbs
- Forklift certification (preferred)
- Excellent time management and organizational skills
