Job Summary
Deliver classroom instruction using provided lesson plans while maintaining a respectful, organized learning environment. Manage student behavior, supervise learners during lunch and recess, and assign or review classwork and homework. Record attendance and communicate concerns to school staff to support a safe, productive classroom. For long-term assignments, develop and deliver lesson plans aligned with the school curriculum. This role offers flexible scheduling Monday through Friday, with full-day or half-day options, and includes paid training and fingerprinting reimbursement.
Required Qualifications
- High School Diploma or G.E.D.
- Availability Monday through Friday
- Ability to work full day (7:00 AM – 4:00 PM) or half day (7:00 AM – 12:00 PM or 12:00 PM – 4:00 PM)
- Ability to follow lesson plans
- Ability to manage classroom behavior
- Ability to support student engagement
- Ability to supervise students during lunch, recess, and transitions
- Ability to assign and review classwork and homework
- Ability to record attendance
- Ability to communicate concerns to school staff
- Ability to maintain a safe and productive classroom
- Ability to develop and deliver lesson plans aligned with the school curriculum
