Job Summary
Create and deliver lesson plans aligned with West Kearney High School curriculum standards for high-acuity youth at the Youth Rehabilitation and Treatment Center. Provide engaging, supportive instruction in a structured classroom setting while maintaining consistent expectations to support behavioral and academic progress. Adapt teaching methods to meet diverse student needs and individualized learning plans within a therapeutic, rehabilitative, and holistic model of care. This long-term substitute position requires working directly with adolescents who may show physical aggression. The Department of Health and Human Services delivers exceptional education and treatment services to high-acuity youth in Kearney, NE.
Required Qualifications
- Any teaching endorsement, with a 7-12 certification
- Valid Nebraska Teaching Certificate
- Local Substitute Permit
- State Substitute Permit
