Job Summary
Provide substitute teaching in Sonnet Montessori classrooms, following provided lesson plans and classroom routines to support Lead or Assistant Teachers. Supervise and engage children, maintain state ratios, and ensure a safe, nurturing environment. Use the parent communication app to document daily needs and observations, greet families at drop-off/pick-up, and collaborate with staff to maintain cleanliness, organization, and safety. Report accidents or suspected abuse as required by law; adapt to a variety of shifts (part-time and full-time opportunities in the future). Requires HS diploma/GED, background check, ability to lift up to 50 lbs., CPR & First Aid certification (or willingness to obtain within 90 days), and strong communication and teamwork skills. Starting pay is $12-$15 per hour for the Iowa location (Waukee), with benefits and growth opportunities.
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED (required)
- Ability to pass a background check (required)
- Pediatric CPR & First Aid certification (or willingness to obtain within 90 days)
- Flexibility to accept sub shifts and adapt to schedule changes; must work at least 5 shifts per month to remain active
