Job Summary
Provide an overall high-quality student experience as the substitute teacher, acting as teacher of record for multiple courses and delivering instruction through a mix of direct instruction, project-based learning, small-group tasks, and individualized student projects. Tutor students, design social-emotional learning experiences, and communicate student progress to faculty and families. Maintain Summit's discipline process, contribute to weekly team planning, and adapt to variable hours and school needs. Must hold a Washington Teacher Substitute Permit ( Summit supports obtaining this) and a Bachelor's degree; Emergency Substitute Certification or other credentials also mentioned. Comfortable working in culturally responsive, heterogeneous school environments and contributing to ongoing professional development.
