Job Summary
Deliver lesson plans provided by the absent teacher, adapt to different classroom environments and grade levels, manage classroom behavior and maintain a safe, respectful learning environment, and communicate effectively with students, staff, and parents while following school district policies. Training opportunities include trauma-informed teaching and classroom management. This role offers flexible scheduling and weekly pay across various schools and districts in New Jersey. NJ-specific requirements include background checks, TB/drug tests, and a substitute license or authorization if available.
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma with 2.0 GPA or higher
- Must be at least 21 years old
- Three professional references
- Eligibility to work in the United States
- Background check for State Department of Education (fingerprint, etc.)
- TB, drug, or other tests required for the State Department of Education
- Current Substitute License or Authorization, if available in your state
