Job Summary
Supervise and support students in the classroom, playground, or cafeteria while fostering a safe, respectful, and inclusive learning environment. Manage classroom routines, behavior, and transitions by following lesson plans left by the returning teacher, and communicate clearly with school staff. Leave brief notes or feedback for the returning teacher to ensure continuity. You will receive a dedicated consultant for 1:1 check-ins regarding school feedback, training, and career planning, with pay varying by certification and assignment length. This role offers paid training hours, weekly paychecks, and background check reimbursements for those seeking flexible substitute teaching placements.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree, associate's degree or college credits
- Three professional references, including at least one from a previous supervisor
- State & federal background checks
- Have a teaching credential/certificate or 30-Day Substitute Teaching Permit
- Have previous experience in special education settings
- Are bilingual and/or have bilingual teaching experience
