Job Summary
Supervise and support students in the classroom, playground, or cafeteria while fostering a safe, respectful, and inclusive learning environment. Manage classroom routines, behavior, and transitions by following lesson plans left by the returning teacher, and communicate clearly with school staff. Leave brief notes or feedback for the returning teacher after each assignment. This non-exempt role offers daily pay that varies by certification, school, and assignment length, with paid training hours and professional development opportunities available. Weekly paychecks are issued via direct deposit, and reimbursement covers expenses for state and federal background checks. A dedicated consultant provides 1:1 check-ins to discuss school feedback, training, and career planning.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree, associate's degree or college credits
- Three professional references, including at least one from a previous supervisor
- State & federal background checks
- Have a teaching credential/certificate or 30-Day Substitute Teaching Permit
- Have previous experience in special education settings
- Are bilingual and/or have bilingual teaching experience
