Job Summary
Substitute Teacher assumes the full role of the Teacher during absences, implementing daily lesson plans and schedules while organizing learning centers and maintaining classroom order through positive behavior management. Recruit volunteers and solicit in-kind contributions, attend required meetings and trainings, and ensure cleanliness of classrooms and restrooms. Serve as an advocate for the Head Start Program, families, and children. Requires a current CDA or Associate Degree in Early Childhood Education, high school diploma, and a valid driver's license with automobile access.
Required Qualifications
- High School Diploma and/or GED
- At least one year experience working with infants and toddlers in a childcare setting
- Current driver's license
- Access to use of automobile with current insurance
- Current CDA
- AA in ECE
Desired Qualifications
- Child Development Associate (CDA) certificate
- Associate Degree in Early Childhood Education
