Job Summary
Facilitate day-to-day operations of the childcare center or assist teachers in daily activities while monitoring safety and ensuring program guidelines are followed for children aged 0-5. Plan and implement age-appropriate activities, complete DRDP assessments as needed, and communicate with parents regarding child progress. Maintain a safe, happy, and positive environment in the classroom under the direction of the Director of the Childcare Center. Submit applications for acceptance into the program, where the Child Care Director will contact approved candidates for enrollment.
Required Qualifications
- Six (6) completed core semester units of early childhood education/development
- Enrolled in at least two (2) semester units at a college until fully qualified
- Possess a teaching credential
- Six (6) months experience in a licensed child care center or comparable group child care program
- Title 22 Regulations
- Planning and implementing curriculum for children ages 0-5
- Current principles and practices of early childhood education in a play-based, family centered program
- Current classroom supervision requirements for staff and volunteers
- Family inclusion and education
- DOJ and FBI Fingerprint Clearance
- Eight (8) hours of Preventative Health and Safety Training within three (3) months of hire
