Job Summary
Deliver individualized educational programs through daily planning, class activities, and assessment goals for K-12 students with autism spectrum disorder. Provide appropriate educational activities to enhance students' educational, social, and emotional growth while working effectively with children facing special needs and behavior challenges. Collaborate with related service personnel, administration, and families to ensure consistent programming and communication regarding student progress. Maintain valid teaching or substitute licensure and demonstrate willingness to work within the alternative educational program environment during the 2026-2027 school year.
Required Qualifications
- Valid teaching certificate/license, valid teacher substitute license, or willingness to obtain substitute license
- Work effectively with children diagnosed with special needs and behavior challenges in an alternative educational program
- Work effectively with a variety of related service personnel in providing educational programming to students diagnosed with ASD
- Provides for individual differences through an individualized educational program that is evidenced in daily planning, class activities, and assessment goals
- Provide appropriate educational activities and opportunities for children with a goal of enhancing their educational, social, and emotional growth
- Maintains effective communication and collaboration with administration, district of residence, and families concerning matters related to students in the program
Desired Qualifications
- Bachelor's Degree in Intervention Specialist preferred but any certification considered including K-3, 4-9. 7-12 in any area considered
- Previous experience in working with students diagnosed with Autism preferred but not required
