Job Summary
The Substitute Teacher at the Oneida Nation School System will plan, instruct, and evaluate educational programs for secondary level students while integrating Oneida heritage into daily lessons. Responsibilities include preparing lesson plans, evaluating students, managing classrooms, and participating in professional development.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's Degree
- Ability to communicate efficiently and effectively both verbally and in writing
- Must comply with Bureau of Indian Education criminal history records check as a condition of employment to include fingerprinting
- Willing and able to obtain additional education and training

- Knowledge of the Oneida language, community, history, and culture
- Ability to develop and complete instructional activities and lessons
- Cross-culture education
- Teaching experience
Additional Requirements
- Must pass a background check to meet Employment Eligibility Requirements
- Must provide proof of substitute teach application and share documentation of license within six (6) months of employment
- Must pass a pre-employment drug screen
- A Tuberculosis (TB) Screening and/or a 2 step TB Skin Test is required within thirty (30) days of employment
