Job Summary
Assist in educating Head Start/Early Head Start children in a classroom setting; support implementation of Head Start functions; help with child assessments and screenings; ensure safety and classroom cleanliness; manage classroom operations and volunteer coordination; maintain training hours; comply with DFPS and OHS regulations; participate in trainings and staff meetings; lift up to 60 pounds; require reliable transportation and a valid driver’s license; able to communicate with families with limited English proficiency; background checks and health screening required.
Required Qualifications
- High School diploma or GED
- 2 years related experience in the preschool classroom setting
- Ability to work as a team player
- Possess a valid driver’s license
- Must be able to communicate with children and families with no or limited English proficiency
- Criminal background check
- Health examination
- Clear driving history
- Confidentiality
- CPR and First Aid training
