Job Summary
Substitute Teacher needed to deliver district-provided lesson plans across diverse school environments in the Indianapolis area. Responsible for adapting to different classrooms and grade levels, maintaining a positive, safe learning environment, managing behavior, and communicating with students, staff, and parents while adhering to school district policies. Requires 30 college credits with a 2.0+ GPA, be at least 21, provide three references, eligibility to work in the U.S., and a current Substitute License or Authorization if available. Flexible scheduling with weekly pay and opportunities to work across multiple schools and districts; training in trauma-informed teaching and classroom management is available.
Required Qualifications
- Must have 30 college credits with 2.0 GPA or higher
- Must be at least 21 years old
- Must provide three (3) professional references
- Must demonstrate eligibility to work in the United States
- Must have proof of a completed background check for the State Department of Education
- Must have a current Substitute License or Authorization, if available in your state
