Job Summary
Report to the campus office, follow lessons developed by classroom teachers, and present instruction in a manner students understand. Establish and maintain classroom control, administer discipline per board policies, and create an environment conducive to learning appropriate for student maturity. Take all necessary precautions to protect students, equipment, and facilities while maintaining professional relationships with colleagues, parents, and community members. Spend the entire assignment working with students, ensuring prompt attendance and strict confidentiality. Adhere to district safety protocols and emergency procedures, avoiding personal work during the assignment.
Required Qualifications
- High School Diploma
- Completion of the Kennedale ISD application process, including substitute orientation
- Interpersonal skills to work well with children, parents, and staff
- Accept jobs and perform effectively on a consistent basis
- Maintain prompt and regular attendance for each substitute assignment
- Maintain confidentiality
- Demonstrates ethical behavior
- Follow district safety protocols and emergency procedures
Desired Qualifications
- Degreed (Bachelors or higher)
