Job Summary
Provide educational support to adolescents with mild to moderate cognitive impairment in a special education setting at River Run Academy. Deliver trauma-informed instruction, help maintain a six-to-one student-teacher ratio, and collaborate with a multidisciplinary team to support students' academic growth and life skills (e.g., cooking, banking, vocational skills). Requires a Bachelor's degree in education or related field and the ability to transport students; must be 21+, able to work evenings and weekends. Opportunity includes part-time schedule with potential for full-time, competitive pay ($23.00–$33.00 per hour) and comprehensive benefits; located in Thompson, CT.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in education or related field
- Special Education or Mental Health setting experience strongly preferred
- Must be 21 years of age
- Maintains valid driver’s license as transporting students is required
- Available to work evenings, holidays, weekend shifts as required
- Background and driving record checks will be performed
