Job Summary
Create a flexible elementary grade program and establish effective rapport with students to motivate them toward academic growth. Implement district policies while teaching English Language Arts, social science, mathematics, science, health, and physical education using adopted course of study. Develop lesson plans, administer standardized tests, and evaluate student academic and social progress through appropriate records. Maintain classroom behavior standards, communicate with parents via conferences, and supervise students during out-of-classroom activities. Requisition instructional materials and participate in curriculum development and faculty meetings as required.
Required Qualifications
- Professional Educator License with Self Contained General Education Endorsement or Required Endorsement
- Substitute Teacher License
- Demonstrated capabilities in leadership
- Demonstrated capabilities in public and community relations
- Demonstrated capabilities in academic competence
- Effective behavior management skills
- Ability to structure a classroom to maximize student learning
- Effective communication skills with a variety of stakeholders
- Demonstrated knowledge of course outlines
- Demonstrated knowledge of curriculum
- Demonstrated knowledge of text used
