Job Summary

Plan and deliver a quality instructional program based on state standards, district curriculum, and effective teaching practices to students with diverse learning needs. Recognize individual student requirements to develop strategies promoting achievement, while utilizing multiple data elements to assess progress and modify instruction. Foster a safe, positive learning environment by managing student behavior and collaborating with parents and the school community. Maintain and submit student records, participate in meetings to address student needs, and comply with district policies and the Code of Professional Conduct. Work 7.75 hours per day at a daily rate of $210 for full days, with positions open until filled for the 2026-2027 school year.

Required Qualifications

  • Valid Washington State teaching certificate
  • Valid Washington State certification with appropriate endorsement(s)
  • Knowledge of subject matter/course content relevant to assignment
  • Knowledge of and skills in using effective instructional strategies and practices
  • Knowledge of and skills in using various formative and summative assessments
  • Ability to effectively address a wide range of academic and social needs including at-risk, cultural diversity, English language learners, and special education students
  • Skills in effective planning and implementation of lessons based upon state standards, district curriculum and student needs
  • Skills in managing and promoting positive student behavior
  • Knowledge and understanding of elementary and secondary school philosophy
  • Ability to effectively meet developmental needs of students
  • Ability to collaborate effectively with others
  • Skills in and ability to communicate effectively with others
  • Skills and abilities in organization, time management, record keeping
  • Ability to interact positively and effectively with parents, students, staff, and administrators
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality
  • Ability to strengthen job-related competencies
  • Successful and recent experience as teacher
  • Second language or language acquisition background
  • Student cultural and economic diversity experience
