Job Summary
Attend mandatory substitute teacher trainings held in September, October, November, January, February, and March 2026-2027 at HISD Admin. Building to begin substituting. Pass a background check and cover fingerprinting fees. Work with children, utilizing prior experience as a teacher's aide or day care worker if available. Maintain accreditation with a high school diploma or GED.
Required Qualifications
- Accredited High school diploma or GED
- Must be able to pass background check
- Must attend one of the listed substitute teacher trainings to begin substituting
Desired Qualifications
- Ability to work well with children
- Experience working with children (i.e.: as a teacher's aide, or as a day care worker)
