Job Summary
Substitute Teacher needed for Guidepost Montessori's on-call mix-age Montessori classrooms (ages 0–6). Support multiple classrooms when full-time teachers are out, helping maintain a calm, engaging, and nurturing learning environment. No formal Montessori training required—training provided during orientation and onboarding. You’ll step into classrooms as needed, assist with daily routines and activities across mixed-age groups, collaborate with school staff for smooth transitions, model patience and professionalism, and support flexible, part-time hours. This role offers a pathway to full-time Assistant Teacher roles and emphasizes flexibility, warmth, and a commitment to early childhood education. Equal employment opportunity statement included.
Required Qualifications
- Negative TB test within the last 12 months
- Valid state background check
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills
- Warm, friendly, and dependable demeanor
- Passion for working with young children
