Job Summary
Support multiple classrooms serving children ages 0–6 by assisting with daily routines, maintaining calm and engaging environments, and collaborating with school staff for smooth transitions. Model patience, professionalism, and kindness in every interaction while stepping into classrooms as needed to ensure continuity of care. This on-call, as-needed position offers flexible hours for part-time or supplemental work, with no formal Montessori training required as orientation and onboarding are provided. Many substitutes progress to full-time Assistant Teacher roles within the global Montessori community.
Required Qualifications
- Negative TB test within the last 12 months
- Valid state background check
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills
- Warm, friendly, and dependable demeanor
- Passion for working with young children
Desired Qualifications
- Early Childhood Education (ECE) units
- Recent experience working with children ages 0–6
