Job Summary
Provide substitute classroom coverage for absent teachers by following lesson plans, maintaining an orderly environment, and communicating student concerns to administration. Oversee the daily Homework Club from 2:15 PM to 4:00 PM by supervising students, assisting with academic assignments and study habits, and coordinating dismissal procedures. Demonstrate flexibility to assist with other academic or supervisory responsibilities throughout the school day. Work full-time hours from 7:00 AM to 4:00 PM starting September 2026 at Great Rock Christian Academy in Danvers, MA.
Required Qualifications
- Have prior teaching, substitute teaching, tutoring, or relevant classroom experience
- Demonstrate strong classroom management and student supervision skills
- Be comfortable working with students of varying ages, grade levels, and academic needs
- Possess excellent communication, organizational, and interpersonal skills
- Be dependable, punctual, professional, and adaptable
- Demonstrate patience, sound judgment, initiative, and a genuine desire to support students
- Be able to work effectively both independently and as part of a collaborative school team
- Be flexible
- Be organized
- Be confident working with students across different grade levels
